Training
Your child can learn reading and writing with WIZARDA
The lessons at level one are especially suited for children. The lessons are short, as only 4 words are included in each lesson. Each word is followed by its pronunciation and a sound describing the word.
When you move the cursor over the active letters on the screen at level one, they are shown i a large format. At the same time, they are pronounced. When you know the pronunciation, you can toggle the sound off. Use the Loudspeaker-button on the screen or press the BackSpace key on the keyboard to do this.
At all other levels the pronunciation of the sentence is turned of initially. Should you want it anyway, just toggle it on as described above.
Before your child starts training
Your child should be able to manage the cursor on the screen with the button, before it starts training with WIZARDA.
See more about the options and the use of WIZARDA on the Help pages, before you put your child onto the training. You may want to watch your child work with WIZARDA, until he or she is familiar with the navigation of the program.
Praise your child
Praise your child's progress. As soon as your child can read a little, you can motivate your child further by praising it. "I can" i a very strong motivating factor. "I can show and tell you" is even stronger.
